New year new me #AMIRIGHT
Apologies to anyone who already read this rant on our newsletter. If you didn’t and want to get on our sweet newsletter, shoot us an email at help@justthetips.com now. Hurry! The rest of you read on!
While i’m sure its usually meant with the best of intentions, whenever I hear someone prattle on about the new years resolution to change their life, I get this strong urge to flail my limbs in the general direction the noise came from in order to make it stop. Lets be real folks, i’m all for self improvement, and if you need some kind of catalyst, i.e. new year, to help motivate you, great. I just don’t need you spewing your insane crossfit/clean eating/power colonic regimen that’s totally going to get you shredded at me.
If you feel the need to scream from the mountain tops (aka Facebook, Insta, Snapchat, etc) about your new #fitlife, you are probably missing the point. Self improvement is not achieved by a 4 month over correction to atone for the previous 8 months of neglect, and telling any and everybody about it via any medium possible does not make your efforts more effective. Self improvement is a journey that stops when you do. It takes dedication and patience, and most of all it should be done for your actual self vs your digital self.
